About

Small on purpose.
Engineers, not account managers.

Specto LLC exists because good companies lose hours a day to work nobody should be doing by hand.

Howard Zhang

Founder, Specto LLC. M.S. Mechanical Engineering, Temple University. Fifteen years in industrial software: in customers' plants working out what they needed, in sales and marketing, in implementation and data, and for years alongside large software companies. Now he builds with the latest AI. He knows the market and the customer, and how to build what they need.

“I didn't build this to join the AI hype. I built it to fix operations — the unglamorous, expensive busywork that eats a business from the inside.”

How we work

No AI strategy decks, and no package you have to bend your company around. We build the system around how you already work, and AI does the repetitive work inside it, with a person approving what matters.

We work with small and mid-sized companies, whatever they do — from about 10 to 500 people, usually running on spreadsheets, paper and a system that doesn't talk to anything else.

Track Record

Not our first year.

In daily use

At a complex industrial manufacturer, what we built runs every day across sales and accounting, on top of their ERP, email and meetings, and it replaced their CRM. Every customer email gets nine checks before it’s filed; a new inquiry becomes a sales opportunity, a customer’s PO becomes an order, and a technical question gets an answer drafted from their own documents. Their people just approve it.

What runs on it at the manufacturer

Not everything at once: one system, built part by part, each part in daily use before the next one started.

Customer records

Their old CRM, replaced: customers, deals and their history in one place, connected to the ERP and inbox they kept.

Meetings become tasks

Every meeting is written up and turned into tasks, minutes and announcements, each with an owner.

Invoices and expenses

Checked as they arrive, with flags raised before anything is paid.

The old ERP, read in place

The old system stayed and is read where it lives; nothing ripped out. The records they already had were cleaned up and loaded in.

The Fair Question

“You're small. Why should we trust you with this?”

The same tools as the largest companies

The same top AI models, the same cloud and the same build tools the largest software companies use — there is no small-company edition. The price is lower because there are no layers in between, not because the work is lesser.

You don't have to bet on us

Everything runs in your own account from day one. If we disappeared tomorrow, your system would keep running without us — something no subscription vendor of any size can say.

Small is the feature

The engineer who designs your system is the engineer who builds it. No account manager in between, no hand-off to someone who wasn't in the conversation.
